Please come into the Church through the side door.
  2. Private Confession and Absolution: is offered in the church every Wednesday from 12.45pm-1.45pm, or by appointment with the pastor. Please come into the Church through the side door.
  3. “Chomp” - a new study and discussion time for those aged 12+. 30 action packed
minutes, each Sunday in Bethlehem House Library 10.20-10.50am. Contact
    Fiona for more details
  4. WOMEN’S GUILD, Thursday 2 September in Bethlehem House from 11.30am. BYO lunch. Guest speaker Jill Flower will talk about her trip to England. Any contributions to the gift table would be much appreciated. ALL WELCOME.
  5. Lunch in the Stables will be on Sunday 5th September at 12 noon. All Welcome.
  6. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: Bible Studies led by Pastor Fraser Pearce. These studies will take place in Bethlehem House before the 7pm Vespers services ie on the first and third Sunday evenings of the month, from 5.45-6.45 pm. Next study Sunday, 5th September - and continuing with Vespers Services. Coffee and tea will be available. Please feel free to bring along your evening meal.
  7. Confirmation 2010/2011 There is a meeting planned for all parents of young people who are prepared to start the next confirmation class. The meeting will be held in the church directly following the 11 am service on Sunday, September 12. Please contact Pastor Pearce or Pastor Prenzler through the office if you intend to be there, or if you want to put in an apology.
  8. Available to collect from church:
    • Hand in Hand (Aboriginal Ministries)
  9. Offerings: The Church Council are concerned by the fact that our offerings are currently $13,000 behind our budget for this time of the year. We would urge our members to prayerfully consider this situation, their commitment to this aspect of our congregation’s function, and to the need to be making a regular weekly offering. If everyone would add the cost of one cappuccino to their weekly offering, much of the deficit would be reduced.
  10. 150 Anniversary Celebration: Bethlehem Church Council, at its meeting on April 20th, decided that the congregation’s 150th Anniversary Celebration on October 3rd would be an ideal occasion to adopt a special project to reduce the outstanding debt on the organ fund. We are suggesting that members put aside an amount each week separated from their normal offering. Then on October 3rd the accumulated amount from these weeks can be presented toward this special project.
  11. Special 150th Anniversary Mementoes will be available during the next few months. Several kinds of very attractive candles are now ready for purchase. They are on display today in Bethlehem House during morning tea. Profits will go towards the organ fund.
  12. Are you passionate about singing or music? Then we want you! The 11am music team is looking for people who may be interested in helping out with the band occasionally. Please contact Ben Kuchel (check with the office if you need contact details) to express your interest.
