Dear members and friends,
Pastor Joshua Pfeiffer is running a class at Bethlehem in early 2021. It's for those who are new to, returning to, or exploring the Christian faith - especially those seeking adult baptism, confirmation, congregational membership, or simply wanting gain a deeper understanding of Christianity, especially from a Lutheran perspective.
The sessions will be held on Sunday evenings in Bethlehem House from 5:30-6:30pm - just before the 7pm service. The first class is this Sunday. There are 7 weeks in all. This will take the enquirers through to Easter, covering the period in the Church called Lent.
The main texts used are the Bible and a little document called Martin Luther's Small Catechism. You are welcome to bring a Bible of your own if you have one, or we have Bibles here you can use, and we will provide a copy of the Catechism. These classes are also opportunities for participants to ask questions and work through them in discussion and conversation. In fact discussing people's questions is often the part we most enjoy.
